As you enjoy your summer break, now is a great time to take care of a few important items before the first day of school. Completing these tasks early helps ensure a smooth start to our new school year for both your family and our schools.
- Check Immunization Records
Colorado law requires students attending school to be up to date on required immunizations or to have an approved exemption on file. Please review your child's immunization records and schedule any needed appointments with your healthcare provider before school begins.
If your family chooses not to vaccinate, a current Colorado Certificate of Nonmedical Exemption must be submitted each school year. Families can complete the exemption online through the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. - Secondary Athletics
Students planning to participate in middle and high school athletics must have a Blue Card before they can start practices. Part of obtaining a Blue Card, is having a current CHSAA Sports Physical on file. Physicals are valid for one year.
We encourage families to schedule physical appointments early, as healthcare providers often have limited availability before the start of the school year. - School Supply Lists
Supply lists are now available for the upcoming year. Reviewing the lists and purchasing supplies before school starts helps students arrive prepared and ready to learn on the first day. - Returning Student Registration
Families need to re-register their student(s) each year. Registration opens Monday, July 27th, and needs to be completed by Tuesday, August 4th.Registration is completed via the PowerSchool parent portal. So we can best support your student(s), please review all information so it is up to date, including but not limited to: phone numbers, emergency contact information, health information.
Thank you for taking a few moments this summer to complete these important back-to-school tasks. We look forward to welcoming our Bluejays back for another fantastic school year!
