The Mancos School District is gaining recognition and a national reputation as a small school district that meets the needs of students with career-connected learning programs. In late October, I was asked to present on behalf of the school district at the RISE Collaborative established by the Ronald Reagan Foundation (materials attached). This was a small group of 35 industry leaders in K-12, post-secondary education, education policy, and education philanthropy to develop a national policy to improve outcomes for students upon high school graduation.
