Dear Mancos Community,

Welcome back! As we transition from the sunny days of summer to the vibrant start of the 2024-2025 school year, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead. Our BlueJay spirit is stronger than ever, and we can't wait to see our halls bustling with the energy and enthusiasm of our students and staff.

This year, we are introducing a few important changes aimed at enhancing our academic environment. To maximize learning during class time, we will be implementing a new policy where phones will not be allowed in the highschool classrooms from bell to bell.  Middle school will continue, as in previous years, to not allow phones throughout the whole school day.  We believe that minimizing distractions is crucial to creating an optimal learning experience. Additionally, we are rolling out a new hall pass system to better track and ensure the safety of our students throughout the school day.

We are also thrilled to welcome some new faces to our Mancos Secondary School staff. Their diverse experiences and fresh perspectives will undoubtedly enrich our school community. As always, we value and welcome any input from our stakeholders within the community. Your feedback and support are vital as we strive to create the best possible educational environment for our students.
