Last night, Ms. Jane Silver was inducted into the CHSAA Hall of Fame.
Ms. Silver is here in Mancos at the nursing home and a few Mancos graduates accepted the award on her behalf. The graduates put this video together, that was aired during last nights event.
A quick history of Ms. Silver. Ms. Silver came to Mancos to teach in 1967. She was one of few women teachers and the first women band and choir teacher for Mancos. She helped bring women's sports to Mancos with Title 9 and was a coach and mentor to many students. She built an amazing marching band program and lead MHS to 3 Colorado State Championships. She retired in 2000.
