Bluegrass in the Schools, part of the Durango Bluegrass Meltdown, offered a free concert to our Mancos Blue Jays last Thursday, April 18th. The students were treated to a fantastic show by our local bluegrass group “The Dirty Chords”. They had the house rockin' and the students were a respectful audience! Thanks to Bluegrass in the Schools for this event.
If your child is interested in Bluegrass music, the organization is hosting "KidsPick" at the La Plata County Fairgrounds on Wednesday, May 8th, with a free concert, an instrument petting zoo, plus 17 instruments for loan over the summer!
