Last week, our kindergarten, first, and second grade students were in for a special treat as they celebrated Groundhog Day with the talented local author, Pat Vojta! Initiated by Chyrise Bay, our enthusiastic Elementary Library Teacher, this engaging event featured Pat sharing her delightful book, Mr. Groundhog Wants the Day Off.
The students were captivated as they learned about Pat’s inspiring journey to becoming an author and the creative spark that led her to write a charming tale about groundhogs. It was a fantastic opportunity for young readers to connect with a local storyteller and celebrate the joy of reading!
