Teacher: Mr. Dalley
Project Objective:
This project is all about you! It is never too early, or too late, to take a deep dive into what makes you function as a human being. Self-reflection is the ability to witness and evaluate our own cognitive, emotional, and behavioral processes. Throughout this project we will engage in self-reflection by evaluating the people, behaviors, and goals that are near and dear to your heart. Using this reflective information, we will create a personal mission statement that describes the very essence of who you are.
Deliverables:
The goal of this project is to introduce the freshmen class to our community. We will achieve this goal by each creating a polished Personal Mission Statement, a visual Personal Logo, and put them together as a public piece of work. The math behind this is all focused on graphing functions (linear, quadratic, exponential, and circles) as we learn how to put our logo on a coordinate grid and reproduce it with equations.
Standards:
HS.A-REI.D. Reasoning with Equations & Inequalities: Represent and solve equations and inequalities graphically.
HS.F-IF.A. Interpreting Functions: Understand the concept of a function and use function notation.
HS.A-APR.B. Arithmetic with Polynomials & Rational Expressions: Understand the relationship between zeros and factors of polynomials.
HS.A-REI.C. Reasoning with Equations & Inequalities: Solve systems of equations.
