Parent and Community Volunteers

The Mancos School District greatly benefits from the help of our Parent and Community Volunteers!

By volunteering, you can help give time back to the staff so that they can do what they have been hired to do - educate our students!  In addition to several regularly scheduled positions, many of our special programs and projects wouldn’t happen without the help of volunteers, so thank you for considering spending some of your valuable time helping to improve our schools and our Community!

We have a variety of positions available, which offer a wide variety of time commitments.  First, we would like to assist all staff by relieving them of some of their extra “duties” throughout the regular school day or providing support to teachers in the classroom.

AVAILABLE DUTIES:  Bus Duty, Classroom Volunteer, Crosswalk Duty, Library Events, Lunch Room Helper, Pre-School Volunteer, Tutor, and Watch Dog Program.
Second, there is a wealth of knowledge in our community and we would like to bring that knowledge into the classrooms in the form of Guest Speakers, so please let us know if you’re interested in speaking.

OTHER WAYS TO GET INVOLVED: Speaking to High School Students about career options.
Lastly, we have a variety of projects and programs where we can use extra help.
Creating costumes and/or sets for the Holiday Music Program & Judging Middle School Science Fair Projects.

If you would like to help out in any of these areas or have any questions or suggestions on how you can help, please feel free to contact me!
