* Full-time employees receive 100% district-paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance (employee-only coverage).

* Discretionary days:
      165 day contract - 7 days
      180 day contract - 8 days
      195 day contract - 9 days
      261 day contract - 10 days

* Optional programs include PERAPlus 401(k) and 457 plans and supplemental life insurance. Employees contribute 11% of salary, and the district contributes 21.4% on the employee's behalf (current rates). Retirement benefits are based on years of service and highest salary.

* Employees participate in the Colorado Public Employees' Retirement Association (PERA), a defined benefit pension plan that provides a lifetime of monthly retirement benefits. For most school employees, PERA serves in place of Social Security.
