Superintendent Evaluations

1. Purpose of Evaluations
* Superintendent evaluations are essential for assessing the performance and effectiveness of school district leadership.
* They provide an opportunity for the Board to ensure that the superintendent is aligning with the district's goals and addressing the needs of students and the community.

2. Evaluation Criteria
* Evaluations typically involve instruction and achievement, culture and human resources, management and board relations, and community relations.

3. Process
* Self evaluation is completed by the superintendent by November 30th.
* Evaluation forms completed by each board member by December 31st.
* Annual evaluation presented to superintendent every January to include discussion of combined evaluation and superintendent's self evaluation, along with district goals.

4. Outcomes and Goals
* This process contributes to setting future goals for the superintendent and the district and is an integral part of continuous improvement for the school district.
